Giddalur: The Prakasam district police found a rocket-launchers dump in Ardhaveedu mandal on Monday during their combing operation.
According to Markapuram police, a special party team of police is conducting combing in the forest area near Gannepalli village in Ardhaveedu mandal. About 4km east of Gannepalli, the police identified a milk can in the earth. After informing the Markapur OSD Lavanya Lakshmi and keen search, they unearthed two milk cans in the area.
The cans were filled with spare parts of the rocket launchers including 10 pipes, 29 caps, 20 springs, 20 aluminum plates, 10 inner tubes, 2 detonator base, 2 tube launching pipes, 2 rods, one 0.303 butt less barrel with the magazine in them.
