In what could be described as the fence eating the crop, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Adoni police station has been using a stolen motorcycle for the last three months.
Adoni: In what could be described as the fence eating the crop, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Adoni police station has been using a stolen motorcycle for the last three months.

Moreover, the SHO, in this case the Circle Inspector, Ganta Subba Rao, put a ‘Police’ sticker on the bike and using it for his personal work. The original owner of the vehicle, B Naresh, who lodged the complaint of theft of his motorcycle bearing number AP 21 AA 0622 three months back, found it with the CI.
However, when asked, the CI shooed the complainant away.The complainant went to the CI’s house and video-recorded the presence of his vehicles there. He also recorded when the CI was removing the police sticker from the vehicle. The complainant lodged a complaint with Adoni DSP Kolli Srinivas Rao stating the facts of the case.
The DSP assured the complainant that an enquiry would be ordered into the incident and his vehicle would be returned. The DSP also reportedly ordered departmental enquiry against the CI for using the stolen vehicle.
