East Godavari police arrest Maoist Medivi Maasa alias Subhash
The Chintur sub-division police in East Godavari arrested Maoist Medivi Maasa alias Subhash alias Mahesh at Pichukulapadu T Junction in Yetapaka mandal of East Godavari district on Monday.Disclosing the details, East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni said that the Maoist was taken in to custody on Monday during police checks on moving vehicles.
Kakinada: The Chintur sub-division police in East Godavari arrested Maoist Medivi Maasa alias Subhash alias Mahesh at Pichukulapadu T Junction in Yetapaka mandal of East Godavari district on Monday.Disclosing the details, East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni said that the Maoist was taken in to custody on Monday during police checks on moving vehicles.
The SP said that the Maoist hails from Cheepurugudem in Mada block of Narayanapur district in Chhattisgarhe. At present, he is residing at Yenkanna Gudem in Charla mandal of Kothagudem district in Telangana State.
The SP also disclosed that the arrested Maoist got attracted to Hidumal SZC and joined the Maoist activities in January 2016, The SP said that Subhash also participated in two Maoist ambush activities at Bezzi and Bhurkumpal in Chhattishgarh in which 37 CRPF jawans and police personal were killed.
The Maoist carries Rs 5 lakh reward in Odisha State and has been associated with the Maoist activities as Supply Team commander, Vishal Gunni said.The SP complemented Cintur ASP Ambujan, OSD Ravi Shankar Reddy and DSP Dilip Kishan for the initiative taken in the arrest of the Maoist.
