HPCL-Visakha Swachh Rath flagged off
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakha Refinery has been observing the Swachch Bharat Fortnight from July 16. As part of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan, HPCL-Visakha Refinery has engaged second Swachh Rath (vehicle) to promote awareness programmes on cleanliness and Swachh Visakha.
Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakha Refinery has been observing the Swachch Bharat Fortnight from July 16. As part of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan, HPCL-Visakha Refinery has engaged second Swachh Rath (vehicle) to promote awareness programmes on cleanliness and Swachh Visakha.
Commissioner of GVMC M Hari Narayanan flagged off the vehicle on Monday. The dignitaries released the pamphlets on Swachh Bharat being distributed to all areas in Visakhapatnam to bring awareness among the general public on the importance of cleanliness.
While addressing the gathering, Commissioner of GVMC lauded the initiative taken up by HPCL under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for bringing awareness among the general public on Swachh Visakha and also for taking up various activities for the development of education and health in Visakhapatnam under CSR activities.
General Manager-Technical, Visakha Refinery Y Sriramulu informed that Visakh Refinery has already introduced first swachh rath and the same has been moving in the vicinity of the refinery for bringing awareness on Swachh Bharath. Senior officials of Visakh Refinery Narisetty Raja Rao, K Apparao, U S Sharma, Milan Nag and GVMC officials were present.
