Cops best friends to children: Commissioner of Police

Vijayawada: City Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang said cops are best friends to schoolchildren. He interacted with Nalanda School students at his office here on Wednesday.

The students were curious to know the functioning of the police department and other aspects linked to the cops.Speaking on the occasion, Gautam Sawang said it was a great opportunity to serve society through the police department. He urged the schoolchildren to emulate persons who excelled in different fields and serve the state, nation and society.

Stating that many opportunities had been welcoming talented candidates, the CP advised the students to concentrate on education of standards and grab the chances coming their way.

He informed the children that the police had established ‘Balamitra’ to make them their best friends. He also briefed about ‘Fourth lion’ mobile app and Vijayawada police department website and explained their uses. He also clarified doubts of the children. He appreciated teachers and students for showing interest in their department.
