The employees led by union leaders sat on a dharna at the BSNL office premises demanding the government to implement the new pay revision recommendations.

It's union leaders AViswanath, MRajasekhar, KLingamaiah and KNageshwar have denounced the acceptance of recommendations in toto. The recommendations suggested that in view of 85 public sector organisations running on losses, new pay scales should not be implemented.

The leaders demanded that the government must implement wage revision for employees and the revised pension scheme for the retired employees and that the pension contribution should be calculated on the basic pay etc.
