Speaking on the occasion, Nara Lokesh alleged that city was not developed due to the Communist party rule. He alleged that the Communists are the hurdle for the development of the city and now the TDP will develop the city as a clean city in three years.

He called upon the party workers to get ready to win 2019 Assembly elections and conduct the review meetings every month. He asked the party functionaries to meet him and take his services for the development of the three Assembly constituencies.
Referring to recent Kapu reservations issue, Nara Lokesh alleged that the Opposition parties were trying to create problems in the name of caste and religion.

Referring to Mahanadu, he said some leaders and activists from Vijayawada skipped it and asked the party workers not to repeat it. Indirectly referring to Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy, he said that he does not run TV channels and newspaper and there is no need to go jail on corruption charges. He said the TDP government has resolved the Garikaparru issue where Dalits faced social boycott by upper caste people in West Godavari district.
