Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday inaugurated the cloud computing technology centre- Pi Data Centre in Mangalagiri.

Set up at a cost of Rs 600 crore and spread over 1 lakh square yards in 10 acres, the centre already has 300 employees working for it and will be recruiting 1,300 more employees.

Addressing on the occasion, Chandrababu announced that the Pi Data Centre is the fourth largest data company in South India.

He further stated that 5,000 racks are set up to store cloud computing data, out of which 1,000 racks will be utilised by AP government while the remaining will be used for private firms.
