Explaining about facilities at fire station, the DG said that facility is equipped with a latest model fire tender, five firemen and other equipment for a quick response if fire breaks out.

Satyanarayana expressed happiness as all the industries are strictly adhering to the stipulated fire norms. “Fire Services department has plans for giving basic training to the private security guards employed by industries as they have to respond first at the time of crisis,” the DG stated.

Sri City founder and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy said that the representatives of Japan External Trade Organisation, in a recent meeting with Chief Minister N Chandrababu, have brought to his notice some of the issues including fire station at Sri City.

“The Chief Minister responded positively and approved ‘then and there’ a dedicated fire station to Sri City. We are very thankful to him,” the MD said. Thanking the DG for commissioning the facility within two weeks, Ravindra conveyed his sincere thanks and appreciation.

District Superintendent of Police (SP) SV Rajasekhar Babu informed that the state government has sanctioned the fire station and hitech police station to Sri City on a priority basis.

“We will extend all our support to make it a safe and secured place,” he added. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include JETRO representative Yukihiko Okuno, District Fire Officer V Srinivas Reddy and a host of senior executives of the
industrial units.
