Pithapuram: Junior civil judge K Hari Babu called upon people to solve petty issues in presence of village elders rather than approaching courts.
He participated in a legal awareness programme held at Yandapalli in Kothapalli mandal on Friday.Speaking on the occasion, he said NREGS labourers have the right to avail 100 working days a year.
“They also have right to avail equal pay for equal work. They can reach out to courts if any of the amenities during work aren’t met,” he added.
Kothapalli ZPTC member B Rajesh Kumar, advocates Saka Nageswara Rao, D Ramesh Babu, Sarede Nageswara Rao, Kothapalli Transco engineer N Venkateswara Rao and others took part in the programme.
