Vaccination drive from August 1
District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr Sanapala Tirupathi Rao and District Immunisation Officer (DIO) Dr Bagadi Jagannadham said a massive vaccination programme would be organised from August 1 to September 8 to prevent measles and rubella (MR) diseases.
Srikakulam: District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr Sanapala Tirupathi Rao and District Immunisation Officer (DIO) Dr Bagadi Jagannadham said a massive vaccination programme would be organised from August 1 to September 8 to prevent measles and rubella (MR) diseases.
In a press conference held at District Medical Office in Srikakulam on Friday, they said that 5,85, 875 children under age group of 9 months to 15 years would be vaccinated.
MR vaccine would be administered through 80 primary health centres, 478 health sub-centres, 4,247 government and private schools and children who are staying at homes and anganwadi centers and pre-schools.
Regional Deputy Director S Savithri, Additional DM&HOs Menda Praveen, Ch Krishna Mohan, Health Officer Davala Bhaskar Rao and Vaccination Programme Observer Amith Kumar also spoke.
