Officials pulled up for negligence
West Godavari Collector K Bhaskar vented his ire at the engineering officials for not completing the rail-over- bridge (ROB) at Vatlur Railway gate on national highway even after four years.
Eluru: West Godavari Collector K Bhaskar vented his ire at the engineering officials for not completing the rail-over- bridge (ROB) at Vatlur Railway gate on national highway even after four years.
Addressing a review meeting with tghe officials of irrigation, roads and buildings, railway projects at the Collectorate meeting hall here on Saturday, the Collector said that the RoB construction at Vatluru Level Crossing on the outskirts of Eluru city should have been completed four years ago.
However, due to gross negligence of the officials, it was delayed more than four years. The Collector said that during the last one year, after several meetings, the works have expedited. Due to bridge construction, the people are suffering to cross Eluru city and they must take four to five km distance to enter the city. The bridge works should be completed by this November at any cost, he directed the officials.
