Ongole: It is the responsibility of the people to come forward and help the police in curbing human trafficking, said Additional Superintendent of Police of Prakasam district ABTS Udaya Rani.

She and in-charge project director of district women’s welfare department Lakshmi Durga participated in the awareness programme on ‘World Day against Trafficking Persons’ at SSN Junior College organised by HELP and Andhra Pradesh Pro- Child Group here on Saturday.

Udaya Rani, said, “The girls should be very careful and cautious these days. They are ruining their life by falling prey for the infatuation and assuming it as love. The girls should not believe everyone even in the family. They do not allow anyone to touch their body and become a victim of sexual assault. They should learn about the acts and the legal protections for them and help in curbing the human trafficking.”

Lakshmi Durga, said, “The child marriages and child trafficking has become a burden for the welfare of children. We all should know the child rights and work together to end the child trafficking. The children also should be careful about people trying to mislead them and they should not believe in them.”
