Vijayawada: Every year many children and women fall into the hands of traffickers lured by fake promises and are forced into sexual exploitation, forced labour, begging and stealing, protecting them from the traffickers is the responsibility of the government, NGOs and voluntary organisations, said State Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari here on SundayA state-level conference was organised on the World Day against Trafficking in Persons by HELP and Terre des hommes Netherland on the status of rehabilitation in the state on the HELP premises here on Sunday. about 60 rescued people from across the state explained their troubles faced by them.

Addressing a gathering she said that the state government is taking all measures to control human trafficking and she would extend her support for the government to implement the GO 1 and assured that all the demands which were raised in this meeting would be implemented.

She expressed that family problems and false promises would lead people to such sufferings and knowingly nobody will commit mistakes. The rescued should be given skill training and help them to lead a dignified life for which all the organisation should support them. “By implementing law strictly, we can control trafficking of children and women from sexual exploitation and all of us should feel the responsibility,” she added.
