The Minister assured to convene a meeting with the management of Visakhapatnam Port Trust to solve the problems and pending issues.

Visakhapatnam: Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Ch Adinarayana Reddy assured the fisher folk of Visakhapantam fishing harbour that with the help of the Sagaramala scheme Rs 40 crore would be invested to develop the harbour. The Minister assured to convene a meeting with the management of Visakhapatnam Port Trust to solve the problems and pending issues.

The Andhra Pradesh Mechanised Fishing Boat Operators Association conducted a meeting at fishing harbour on Sunday. Minister Adinarayana Reddy, along with Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Kollu Ravindra, participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy assured operators that he would discuss with the Centre for exemption of dry fish, nets, ropes and other material from the GST.

When the operators brought to the notice of the Minister that the state government was not releasing the diesel subsidy amount, Reddy assured that he would discuss the issue with the senior officials for the release of amount at the earliest.
