Rajamahendravaram: The house of Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham at Kirlampudi village witnessed heavy rush on Sunday with his supporters who came from various parts of the State.

As the house arrest of Padmanabham ends on August 2, the Kapu leader is making arrangements to commence his proposed padayatra to Amaravati from August 3. Meanwhile, the YSR Congress Party, Congress and Kapu leaders of other parties expressed their solidarity with Mudragada Padmanabham.

The government is stating that Mudragada Padmanabham is not under house arrest but Padmanabham is insisting that he is under house arrest.

He alleged that he cannot move from his house, even for any medical aid. The government is keeping a tight vigil and continuing police force across East Godavari district.

Meanwhile, Padmanabham with his supporters participated in a protest programme on the premises of his house beating steel plates as earlier indicating that they are starving. Many women also participated in the programme.
