Sudden downpour leaves Tirumala flooded, devotees stuck

Tirumala has been receiving heavy rainfall since the early hours of Monday with the temple premises, footpath and even the shopping area over the hills completely filled with water.

The sudden downpour has caused a huge havoc for the devotees and a hindrance in the activities at the temple. While few devotees who have already completed their darshan at the temple are stuck and waiting to head back, others are making a move and walking in ankle deep water.

Rivulets of water were seen flowing down the steps while the gales shook the trees.
