Vani Ramamurthi was born and brought up in US and started learning Indian Classical Music at the age of 5 under the guidance of Padma Kutty and later she started annual trips to Chennai for her advanced musical training at Ranjani and Gayatri.

Vani commenced her concert with Sahana raga Varnam and continued with a traditional keerthana ‘Vandeham Jagadvallabha’ in Hamsadwani ragam, ‘Evarini Nirnayichedira’ in Devamruta ragam and ‘Ennaganu rama bhajana’ in Pantuvarali ragam.

The artiste Vani Ramamurthy had chosen the keerthana in Todi ragam as the main item of the concert and rendered ‘Kaddanuvarike’ of Thyagarajaswamy krithi. The audience was left mesmerised with the excellent authority and devotion of Vani’s music.

The amazing instrumental support rendered by Vijamuri Kamala Kiran of USA on Violin and able mridangam support of Parupalli Subbaraya Phalgun was also appreciable. The concert concluded with the Meera bhazan ‘Krishna Ne Begane baro’.

On this occasion the organisers Seeram Subrahmanyam, Komanduri Seshadri and others honored Vijamuri Srinivasa Subhash, who is working to promote Indian Classical Music in the United States of Amarica.
