Collector inspects venue
District Collector PS Pradyumna has inspected the Tarakarama Stadium of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) here where the state-level Independence Day celebrations will be held on August 15.
Tirupati: District Collector PS Pradyumna has inspected the Tarakarama Stadium of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) here where the state-level Independence Day celebrations will be held on August 15.
He said foolproof arrangements are being made to make the event a grand success. The Chief Secretary has directed the official machinery to make all arrangements. Accordingly, big LED screens will be installed in the auditorium to enable the public to watch the event. It is expected that nearly 7,000 people may attend the function. Tight security will be in place for the event, he added.
The works of stage decoration, providing drinking water facility, medical camps, Ambulances etc are to be taken up with concrete planning, the Collector said and added that special efforts will be put for the presentation of tableaus of various departments.
State Information department commissioner N Venkateswar, Protocol department joint secretary Ashok Babu, Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty, Sub Collector Nishanth Kumar among others were present at the stadium.
