Guntur: CPI national secretary K Narayana alleged that drug smuggling activity had been on rise after the BJP government came to power at the Centre and Gujarat had turned a hub for the activity.

Addressing the media on the occasion of Long March Bus Yatra undertaken by AISF, AIYF reaching Guntur city here on Monday, the CPI leader alleged that RSS-sponsored attacks were on rise in AP, UP, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat states after the BJP government assumed power at the Centre.

AISF national secretary Viswajit said unemployment was on rise under the BJP rule and added that there were 15 crore unemployed in the country at present. He demanded that the government provide employment to the unemployed and demanded free education and reservations in the private sector.

AISF national president Altaf, its state president Mahamkali Subba Rao, CPI state joint secretary Muppalla NageswaraRao were among those who participated in the meeting.
