HPCL services lauded for clean Visakha

Visakhapatnam: The fortnight on Swachh Bharat organised by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited-Visakha Refinery was concluded on Monday. On the occasion, a programme was organised on the refinery premises. Participating as chief guest,

GVMC Commissioner M Hari Narayanan applauded the HPCL for taking initiatives under Swachh Bharat Mission and appreciated the services provided for the various activities in promoting awareness on Swachh Bharat particularly in GVMC schools, hospitals and canvassing through Swachh Rath in the surrounding areas.

He emphasised the activities taken up by GVMC on Swachh Bharat for bringing awareness among public. The Commissioner mentioned that HPCL has been the major contributor to GVMC in the city towards the Swachh Bharat Mission. He also emphasised that HPCL Management would be spending Rs 5 crore for clean Visakha under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in coordination with GVMC for enhancing the cleanliness.

Chief General Manager (Materials), HPCL-VR ASV Ramanan explained various activities taken up by HPCL-Visakha Refinery during the fortnight. The CGM congratulated the GVMC Commissioner on the achievement of 3rd place in cleanliness in the country.

He also mentioned that Swachh Bharat mission was a continuous activity and HPCL would always be in the forefront in the mission.

Later, Hari Narayanan gave away the prizes to the winners for the competitions conducted among the employees. Chief General Manager (Technical) B Balagangadharam, Chief General Manager (Operations) V Ratan Raj, General Manager, Narisetty Rajarao and Chief Manager (PR) US Sarma and other senior officials were present.
