Anantapur: District Collector Veerapandian has called upon district officials to attend to all petitions given by people at Mee Kosam, Janmabhoomi platforms and from the Chief Minister's office and fast track them for rendering immediate justice to the concerned. At the Mee Kosam programme conducted here on Monday, Veerapandian said that he received 566 petitions from people and 250 of them relate to input subsidy non-payment to farmers.
The important petitions relate to lack of civic amenities in Kalakarula Colony where 500 families are living. The colony residents demanded a primary school in the colony for the 100 children, who are in the primary age group. Farmers also demanded supply of fodder and an increase in the price of milk procurement from farmers. Also, many petitioned the Collector to solve land issues.
