Deputy Commissioner of Police Kanti Rana Tata on Thursday conducted counselling to ganja peddlers and blade batch members at One Town police station. He spoke to the offenders and their family members and informed that the police department is trying to change their habits and mindset.

Vijayawada: Deputy Commissioner of Police Kanti Rana Tata on Thursday conducted counselling to ganja peddlers and blade batch members at One Town police station. He spoke to the offenders and their family members and informed that the police department is trying to change their habits and mindset.

He said that the blade batch members and ganja peddlers can change their behaviour and habits and lead a normal life like other people in the city. He said the police department will help them to start a new life if they avoid the bad habits like consuming ganja and indulging in offences like attacking people, kidnapping and other cases. He also visited Nunna police station and took part in the counselling to the hooligans and other offenders.

The city police are conducting cordon search operations in crime prone areas of the city for the last two weeks and trying to change the behaviour of the offenders.He asked the residents of Nunna area to Dial 100 or 9490 61 9463 if they notice the movement of the ganja and blade batch members in their area. He said bind over cases were booked against 19 persons under Nunna police station limits.
