PDSU protests for better facilities in welfare hostels
Members of the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) staged a protest in front of the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer here on Saturday demanding the state government to solve issues of the social welfare hostels. Earlier, they took out a rally from the Government School for Girls to the RDO Office.

Earlier, they took out a rally from the Government School for Girls to the RDO Office.
PDSU leader Naresh Aabari has criticised the government for shutting down the hostels on one hand and giving permission for liquors shops on the other hand. He said seats in the hostels remained vacant since beginning of the academic year.
The activists demanded own buildings for the hostels and hike in mess and cosmetic charges for students. Later, a memorandum regarding the issues has been handed over to the RDO. PDSU division president Asif, leaders Narendra, Anand, Basava, Sugandhamma, Tulasi, Meghamala, Usha, Lakshmi and others took part in the protest.
