The 84th Anglo-Indian Day, which was celebrated at Visakhapatnam Railway Institute on Saturday, has been dedicated to city\'s musician late Jeffory Kirk.
Visakhapatnam: The 84th Anglo-Indian Day, which was celebrated at Visakhapatnam Railway Institute on Saturday, has been dedicated to city's musician late Jeffory Kirk.
The event was organized, under the leadership of Rudolf Simpson of Kakinada, to remember and recall the services rendered by the community members in various fields such as Indian Railways, Post and Telegraphs, Medical services, Defence services, Education and Social services. Senior politician and former MLA Christine Lazares addressed the community gathering and graced the occasion.
Several programmes like a great grand march, live music band, dance, best couple contests were organised.
After a long gap, the Anglo Indians had a get together in the city.
