CPI state secretary K. Rama Krishna castigated the chief minister for ignoring people\'s problems and concentrating only on Nandyal bypoll. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Rama Krishna said that the death of 16 girijans at Chaparai village in agency areas due to fever was totally ignored.

He never cared to visit the girijans who were under the grip of viral fever. The attack of Dalits in Krishna district over a fish tank row also did not attract the government attention. He also attacked the Narendra Modi led government at the centre which is turning a blind eye to the increasing attacks on Dalits in the name of protecting the cows from slaughter.
The centre has failed miserably in protecting the Dalits throughout the country, he charged.
