Tirupati: The RPF police seized 24.5 kg ganja from a passenger in Tirupati Railway Station on Wednesday. When RPF staff were conducting a special drive on the occasion of Chief Commercial Manager’s visit to the station, they found a person Murugan (45) of Teni district in Tamil Nadu with two bags.

On suspicion, they checked the bags and found ganja in it. He came to Tirupati from Tenali by Sabari Express at midnight on Tuesday and was waiting at railway station to go to Villupuram in Tamil Nadu. RPF inspector Nagarjuna Rao said that the accused was handed over to the Excise task force SI Ravi Kumar for further investigation.
