Adivasi Day celebrated on a grand note
On the occasion of World Adivasi Day, the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Residential (APTWR) Junior College and the APTWR School students and faculty members took out a rally under the leadership of the ITDA Project Officer J Venkata Murali at Sunnipenta near here on Wednesday.
Srisailam Project: On the occasion of World Adivasi Day, the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Residential (APTWR) Junior College and the APTWR School students and faculty members took out a rally under the leadership of the ITDA Project Officer J Venkata Murali at Sunnipenta near here on Wednesday.
Venkata Murali paid tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar by garlanding his statue at the Ambedkar Centre. The students holding placards and raising slogans attracted the attention of people. They later garlanded the idol of Chenchu Lakshmi at the Primitive Tribal Group (PTG) Chenchu Office.
The project officer handed over prizes to outstanding students at a programme held at the APTWR School. Cultural events were organised. Executive Engineer Jaga Jyothi, School Principal Channa Reddy, College Principal Ismail and APO (Education) Benjamin were among those took part in the celebrations.
