Four-year-old boy survives after falling from third floor of school building

A four-year-old boy had a miraculous escape after accidentally falling from the third floor of a school building in Vijayawada.

The boy identified as Nikhil Chand, a nursery student of Sri Chaitanya school at Uppaluru Village in Kankipadu mandal, was standing near the window and accidentally fell off.

A woman from a nearby apartment witnessed the incident and alerted the school authorities following which he was rushed to the hospital. The school management was blamed for the mishap with the DEO ordering suspension of the school principal and the concerned teacher.

The boy was later shifted to another hospital in Vijayawada for better treatment and is recovering.
