Rains which occurred since early morning on Wednesday, brought cheers to the people in both Telugu states. Rivers, streams and rivulets received substantial inflows. The people were happy with the rains. But some low-lying areas were inundated due to rain water. The officials have alerted the people living in low-lying areas.

In Telangana, Khammam received highest rainfall of 9cm, Medak 7cm, Golkonda 6 cm. In Rayalaseema, Rayachoti received highest rainfall of 11 cm, Arogyavaram 7 cm, and Pamidi 7 cm. In Coastal Andhra, Tiruvuru received highest rainfall of 9 cm, Podili and Chimakurthi 8 cm, Piduguralla 7 cm and Karamchedu 6cm.
In Hyderabad, there was continuous rain from morning on the day. Several areas in the city were inundated due to rain water. Begum Bazar, Sultanpur, Koti, Abids, Nampally, Basheerbagh, Lakdikapul, Himayathnagar, Narayanaguda, Nacharam, Mallapur,
Tarnaka, Lalapet, OU Campus, Habsiguda, Monda Market, Parsigutta, Warasiguda, Chilakalaguda, Padmarao Nagar, Marredpally, Alwal, Bollaram, Thirumalgherry, Bowenpally, Ramanthapur, Uppal, Boduppal, Ghatkesar, Chadherghat, Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hayatnagar, Abdullapurmet and other places received rains. The vehicle riders faced hardships due to heavy water logging on roads at many places.
The employees, students and others faced inconvenience to reach their offices, schools and other places. LB Nagar received 5.4cm, Asmanghad 4.8cm, Narayanaguda 4.6cm, Nampally 4.2cm, Asifnagar 4.2 cm.
Rain waters reached Kapra, Mallapur, Nacharam and HB Colonies. The GHMC officials put their all efforts to clear the water from the roads. GHMC Deputy Collector Pankaj supervised the works. Vehicular traffic was badly affected for considerable time at Lakdikapul, RTC Cross Roads, Ramanthapur, Shivam Road, Amberpet and Begumpet areas.
