Students boycott classes
Students under the aegis of Students Federation of India (SFI) boycotted classes and observed bandh across Chittoor district on Thursday. In Sri Ventakestwara University (SVU), the students led by SFI district secretary Madhav Krishna and city secretary Giri Kumar Reddy staged a dharna at Ambedkar Statue in front of Golden Arch. In Sri Ventakestwara University (SVU), the students led by SFI district secretary Madhav Krishna and city secretary Giri Kumar Reddy staged a dharna at Ambedkar Statue in front of Golden Arch. Addressing the students, Madhav Krishna said the Left parties gave a call for protection of education system from capitalists.
He slammed the governments for providing inadequate scholarships to students at various levels affecting the poor and middle class. He demanded government reimburse fees and scholarships to students in time and fill all vacant posts in colleges and varsities. SFI leaders Jeevan, Mahesh, Muneppa, Anil, Nagaraju, Sriram and Bupathi were present.
