ATM thief arrested
Within hours of an attempt to break open an ATM of Andhra Bank at Satyanarayanapuram, the police arrested the offender with the help of bank’s round-the-clock Mumbai main server CCTV footage.

According to police, Satyanarayanapuram police station sentry received a call from Mumbai on the theft attempt in the early hours of Thursday. He immediately alerted night beat policemen who caught the culprit after getting the description of the offender from Mumbai.
Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang rewarded the policemen who successfully caught the thief. Sentry RKNV Prasad, beat constables M Narasimha Rao and M Suresh were rewarded for their work.
The police advised banks to install alarm in ATMs and branches to avoid thefts. When thieves attempt theft, the alarms ring alerting the people and the police, they added.
