Continuing their search for criminals in every nook and corner of the city, the police scanned one more area in the early hours of Friday. They conducted cordon search and took 23 habitual offenders into their custody, three suspect sheeters besides seizure of three bikes at Ranigarithota under Krishnalanka police station limits.

They conducted cordon search and took 23 habitual offenders into their custody, three suspect sheeters besides seizure of three bikes at Ranigarithota under Krishnalanka police station limits.
The cops identified the old criminals through iris examination during the search. They also recorded their present activities and conduct. They gathered feedback data of suspects and old criminals as part of the search.
The police conducted the operation to instil confidence in people in the wake of thefts reported in recent times. The cops urged the people to extend cooperation for their efforts to separate anti-social and criminal elements from areas falling under different police stations in the city.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and order II) Kanthi Rana Tata, South Zone ACP Srinivasa Rao, inspectors and sub-inspectors took part in the operation.
