Contract worker steals cable wire in SHAR
The SHAR police filed a case against a contract worker for stealing 4 kg copper wire late on Thursday. According to sources, Valluru Kumara Swamy (20) from Thaniyali of Doravarisatram mandal has been working in the space centre on contract basis. Nellore: The SHAR police filed a case against a contract worker for stealing 4 kg copper wire late on Thursday. According to sources, Valluru Kumara Swamy (20) from Thaniyali of Doravarisatram mandal has been working in the space centre on contract basis. After finishing his work on Thursday, he had stolen copper wire found at the second launch pad.
During the routine security check-up, the CISF personnel have found copper wire in Kumara Swamy’s bag. Security authorities interrogated the contract worker and handed over him to the SHAR police and they filed a case against him and produced him before the court on Friday.
Kumara Swamy had revealed involvement of another three persons in the theft, who were from his native village, said SHAR Sub- Inspector K Chengaiah. A manhunt was launched to nab K Nagaraju, Sk Shariff and B Somasekhar and the investigation is on.
