They can provide services of housemaids by collecting service charge. Nearly 20 exclusive housemaids’ service providers are available in the city limits.

Increasing urbanisation brings many challenges to the citizens as lack of maidservants is one in them. Especially, one section of women like employees belonging to the upper middle-class prefer to assign their cooking, cleaning and washing clothes to housemaids. The new capital Amaravati development, including shifting of employees enhances the demand for housemaids.

In this backdrop, several housemaids’ services have been established in various areas like Satyanarayanapuram, Mogulrajapuram, Gandhinagar, Patamata, Bhavanipuram, Autonagar and some other locations.

Rajadhani Housemaids Services, which was started a year ago in the city, is getting good response from various sections of the society. One employee of the service provider on condition of anonymity, said that they charge Rs 10,000 as service from each customer. The amount should be paid in two instalments in six months before fulfilling the requirement, he said.

The private firm could supply up to 20 housemaids at a time across the city. They charge Rs 8,000 per month for one housemaid, he said. They would provide full details of housemaids to customers, including identity proofs and photos.

Sakthi House Maids Services Owner A Krishna said that he started the business recently following the rise in demand for housemaids in the city. There was a huge demand for those who can take care of elderly persons along with housemaids, he added.

M Sridhar, manager in Health Care Solutions, said that they would provide housemaids. He said that the charges were based on distance and requirements of the customers.
