The contractors are digging the roads in the city for drainage canal construction purpose but simply filling them with gravel. City residents allege that they are finding it difficult to travel on roads with pits. City residents allege that they are finding it difficult to travel on roads with pits. The L&T and other companies have been taking up drainage and water pipe arrangement works in city limits for some time and majority streets were witnessing huge pits after intermittent rains being lashed city.

They were simply marking on the road and the centre point is being dug for laying the pipes. The construction company has engaged poclainers for digging and filling the canals instantly.
But, the problem is arising as workers were focusing on filling the canal with material dug from the same place without applying any pressure. After some time, these canals were becoming small sluices giving nightmarish experience to the commuters whenever it rains in the city. The workers were spreading gravel that has muddy nature on the CC roads which was creating ugly scene with possible chances for accidents due to sliding roads.
Even though, supervisors of the construction company were monitoring the activities there was no improvement in the conditions, blame the people. The warning boards visible at many parts of the city but commuters are in confusion where to cross the roads. A senior official, who connected to the works said they would make the construction company responsible for these lapses.
