No one should violate CRZ norms: Collector

Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) and Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority authorities should see that no one violates Coastal Regulatory Zone norms by conducting checks, said Collector Pravin Kumar at the District Coastal Zone Management Authority meeting here on Friday.

The Collector, who is also the Chairman of DCZMA, pointed out that borewells should not be dug along the coast as per CRZ norms. “Even the development works at Rushikonda taken up by the fourism department would be done under the ambit of CRZ norms. For any further permission, authorities should approach AP Coastal Management Authority,” he said,
