Pharma ahead of others sectors: Kodela
Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao said pharmaceutical sector is ahead of other sectors in the state. He was the chief guest at the inauguration of a three-day event Pharmoria on the Nimra College premises at Ibrahimpatnam near here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that pharmaceutical firms coming here was a good omen for the state. The seeds of reforms sowed by the TDP government in education sector in 1997-98 had been reaping good dividends as education was not only offering the youth a chance to get employment but also to develop as entrepreneurs.
The presence of medical, pharmacy, engineering and management colleges in the state was limited in 1997. Now, as a result of reforms, there were a dozen medical colleges and hundreds of pharmacy, engineering and management colleges were established in the state, he added.
Minister for Irrigation D Uma Maheswara Rao said that opportunities for pharmacy students could be improved with the guidance of experts in pharmacy sector. Workshops like these would help students search for improving their skills and job opportunities. Pharmacy sector has a greater role to play in the new capital formation, he said.Nimra College director T Narayana Rao, experts from other states and students were present.
