DSP Koli Srinivas Rao accompanied by CI Chandrasekhar and e-cop Raghava Reddy launched a Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS) here on Saturday. The DSP informed the people that the ‘appolice’ app could be freely downloaded on android phones from Google playstore.

Those seeking the LHMS can register their name, address and mobile number using the app. When they are leaving home for a few days on any work, they should specify the number of days of non-availability in the app. The police nearer to the applicant’s home would come and install digital CCTV cameras at the house.
In case of thieves enter their premises in owner’s absence, the police would receive photos and live videos at the Control Room and an alarm would alert the police. The same information would be received by the nearest beat police and they would reach the spot without delay. The DSP called upon the people of the town to make better use of this system.
