Five police personnel from Vizag region will be receiving Indian Police Medal (IPM) on Independence Day on August 15 in Tirupati for their unblemished services in the police department of the highest order.

Visakhapatnam: Five police personnel from Vizag region will be receiving Indian Police Medal (IPM) on Independence Day on August 15 in Tirupati for their unblemished services in the police department of the highest order.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vizag city Kingarapu Prabhakar in his 25 years of service received 35 cash rewards, 89 good service entries, nine commendations and four merit certificates. The state government awarded him with Seva Pathakam in 2006 and Uttama Seva Pathakam in the year 2015. The Central government recognised his meritorious service and awarded him IPM.

Similarly, two more police sub-inspector (special branch) M Srinivasa Rao and constable with CCRB P Madhava Rao from Vizag Police Commissionerate will receive the IPM from Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Two police officers Inspector of SBX A Venkata Rao and DSP of District Training Institute (Bakkannapalem) Reddy Srinivasa Rao from Vizg rural police wing will be receiving the IPM.
