More lifeguards deployed on beach

Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhaptnam Municipal Corporation deployed 10 more lifeguards in addition to the existing five guards to man the beach.
The lifeguards, all of them experts in swimming, were deployed to prevent the tourists and local people from drowning in the sea. Deputy commissioner of police K Fakkeerappa and GVMC Commissioner M Harinarayanan were present when the new life guards were deployed. They will be posted at the RK Beach,
Varun Park, Rushikonda Beach where a maximum tourists and locals visit. A mock drill was conducted on the occasion. The DCP said more life guards would be deployed in crowded beach fronts.
