Rajamahendravaram: Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar demanded Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to release a white paper on Polavaram Project and reveal facts to the people. “Why is the Chief Minister bowing down before the Union government,” he questioned.

Lambasting Naidu at a press conference, here on Saturday, Vundavalli appealed to the later not to mortgage the interests of the state for his own ends. “It is his duty to tell the facts to the Parliamentary Standing Committee, which will inspect Polavaram project on August 18 and Attorney General of India is also accompanying the committee,” he noted.

“The union government told state government that the amount so far spent on Polavaram project will be converted as a loan, if the project not completed by March 2018 and is the Chief Minister aware of this,” Vundavalli demanded an answer. “Why the union government imposed conditions,

while it announced Polavaram as a national project? Who will pay the financial burden of Rs 3,000? The people are aware of all things relating to Polavaram project and said it is not possible to complete the national project by the year 2019,” he feared.
