Man sustains burns as mobile phone explodes
A pan shop owner B S Kiran (29) received burn injuries on his right thigh when his mobile phone kept in his pant pocket exploded at Ravulapalem in East Godavari district on Sunday.
Rajamahendravaram: A pan shop owner B S Kiran (29) received burn injuries on his right thigh when his mobile phone kept in his pant pocket exploded at Ravulapalem in East Godavari district on Sunday.
According to him, this incident happened when he was returning to his shop on a bike after having lunch at his house.
When he was nearing his shop, he heard some sound from the cell phone and immediately experienced some heat in the pocket and found the pouch of the phone was in flames.
Then he made a vain bid to remove his mobile phone from the pocket. Meanwhile, the persons nearby rushed to him and pulled his mobile phone out of the pocket.He was immediately shifted to the government hospital for medical aid. Kiran purchased the Redmi mobile phone 20 days ago.
