Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to make payments on the basis of completion of works concerning to Polavaram project. Reviewing the progress of Polavaram project works from his Undavalli residence on Monday, he warned the officials and contractors of severe action for inordinate delay in completing the project works.

“We can provide water through gravity from Polavaram project, if the works move as per the stipulated plans. No one will be spared from severe action, if they show lethargy in performing their duties. It is a rare opportunity for the engineers to exhibit their talent and efficiency taking it as a challenge to complete the Polavaram project works,” he said. Water resources minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and other officials were present.
