RSSDI is known for its research in the areas of Diabetes in India. It has announced the fellowships to 16 doctors in the country and Dr Krishna Prasanthi was one among them. She was the only doctor to get the award in Andhra Pradesh.

Tirupati: Senior Physician Dr P Krishna Prasanthi of pilgrim city has secured fellowship from the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), New Delhi. RSSDI is known for its research in the areas of Diabetes in India. It has announced the fellowships to 16 doctors in the country and Dr Krishna Prasanthi was one among them. She was the only doctor to get the award in Andhra Pradesh.

Prasanthi has been conducting awareness camps and free diagnostic camps and CME programmes for the medical fraternity for the last 17 years. She was also giving special lectures for the medical students. She has submitted a research paper on the diabetic foot among 200 patients to the Christian Medical College, Vellore and received an award at national-level.

Presently, she is serving the RSSDI as its treasurer for the AP wing. She expressed happiness for getting the award along with the renowned doctors in the field Dr Vijay Viswanathan, Dr Sanjay Kalra, Dr Anand Mohan and Dr Unni Krishnan.
