Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan dancing to PM’s tune, alleges Congress
PCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy accused Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy of pursuing politics of opportunism, besides bowing down to diktats of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and compromising state’s interests just for the sake of enjoying vested political interests.
Anantapur: PCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy accused Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy of pursuing politics of opportunism, besides bowing down to diktats of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and compromising state’s interests just for the sake of enjoying vested political interests.
PCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy challenges the Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition to take all party delegation to PM
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Bhavan, here on Wednesday, Raghuveera challenged both the Chief Minister and the Opposition leader to take a delegation of all parties to the Prime Minister.
He said that both the leaders should prove the state’s interests were above political interests. “Chief Minister Naidu failed to extract from the centre what rightfully belongs to state under the AP state reorganisation act. He could not get Rs 16,000 crore compensation from the Centre for meeting budget shortfall. He could only manage to secure Rs 4,000 crore. Just to get kickbacks, Naidu took up Polavaram project,” he alleged.
Taking a dig at Jagan for reneging on his promise that YSRC MP’s would resign in support of special category status, he stated that Jagan like Naidu stopped questioning the Centre on state issues.
The PCC chief termed unemployment dole as a farce and found fault with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not making any reference to Child deaths in Ghorakpur. “Attacks on minorities and Dalits in the name of preventing cow slaughter is on the rise. There is hardly anything to cheer under Modi’s rule,” he said.
