Sri Krishnadevaraya University students burn Minister’s effigy
Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) Students Union burnt the effigy of Minister Adinarayana Reddy for his unsavory remarks on Dalits. Student Union leaders Tirupal, Sreenivasulu, Kranti Kiran, Murali, Puliraja and others demanded that an SC Atrocities case be filed against the minister for his derogatory remarks against the Dalit community and insulting them.
Itukalapalle (Anantapur): Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) Students Union burnt the effigy of Minister Adinarayana Reddy for his unsavory remarks on Dalits. Student Union leaders Tirupal, Sreenivasulu, Kranti Kiran, Murali, Puliraja and others demanded that an SC Atrocities case be filed against the minister for his derogatory remarks against the Dalit community and insulting them.
They said that even 71 years after attaining Independence, atrocities were increasing and insults were being heaped on the community. They described it as shameful the comments made by someone who is holding a constitutional post. They demanded the Minister's removal from the cabinet.
Kurnool: Dalit unions led by the Joint Action Committee burnt the effigy of Minister for Marketing and Animal Husbandry Ch Adinarayana Reddy at the Collectorate here on Wednesday for his anti-Dalit comments. Dalit JAC leader Sukumar accused the minister of belittling the Dalits. The unions demanded the Minister’s dismissal from the Cabinet and filing of SC/ST atrocities case against him.
