Visakhapatnam: The Professor of English Department, Andhra University, S Prasanna Sree, said that modern women are very strong force in the country and emerging successful, competing with men in every sector. The professor made this observation while addressing the women employees of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) to mark the Women in Public Sector (WIPS) Formation Day at Ukkunagaram (Steel Plant township) here on Wednesday.

She called for motivation, commitment and attachment towards the people for transforming society. She exhorted women employees of RINL to work with commitment and focus on learning to grow in their career.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman cum Managing Director of RINL, P Madhusudan, said that modern women were playing a vital role in the society and bringing name and fame to the country with their achievements.

He said that women employees in RINL were very competent and coming forward to work in critical areas to show their talent and added that RINL has extending all facilities to strengthen their growth and advancement. He congratulated women employees and particularly WIPS for bagging many awards at the national- level.

Later, the CMD released ‘DISHA’, the in-house magazine, brought out by WIPS on the occasion. RINL Directors PC Mohapatra, KC Das, General Manager RV Rao, deputy general manager and coordinator of WIPS V Padmavati, N Bhanu also spoke.
