Addressing a press conference along with home minister Chinarajappa, MLAs and MLCs on KMC polls at the district TDP office here on Thursday, he knows since his student days that Kakinada to be a peaceful and disciplined town with highly educated voters.
“I hope that Kakinada voters discern the difference between development and anarchy. They should also take note of YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s attitude, spoken and body language, as seen in Vizag and recently in Nandyal, which are unacceptable,” he said.
Kala Venkta Rao while reminding the people that the city was bestowed with the status of Smart City, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s focus was only development. He urged all the voters to choose the TDP candidates in the KMC elections for the development of the city.
Home minister Chinarajappa said that High Court at Hyderabad had given clearance for the conduct of elections and the party was ready to face the polls. “We have appointed a supervisor for every two divisions. Our main aim is to develop Kakinada as well as the state.
Kapu leaders in our party met the Chief Minister on reservations and the Chief reiterated his resolve to fulfil the promise made before Assembly elections. The government established a corporation for Kapu welfare with a 1,000 crores fund,” he said.
To a query on how many divisions the party would win, Rajappa said they were confident of winning 40 divisions out of 48 in alliance with BJP. He also said there would not be problem of rebels as the party leaders were talking to those who were a little bit disappointed over denial of tickets.
On Mudragada Padmanabham’s agitation for reservation, he said Mudragada and Jagan’s words are alike and it was clear that Mudragada was acting as per Jagan's direction. The two ministers released a pamphlet the developmental works carried out in the past three years under TDP government. Rajanagaram MLA Pendurthi Venkatesh, MLCs Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, V V V Chowdary and district TDP president Namana Rambabu were also present.
