Symposium on Hindi poetry held

Visakhapatnam: Srijan, an organisation, which is committed to Hindi literature and promoting the Rajya Bhasha, organised a symposium on poetry in the city on Wednesday.

Presiding over the event, senior literary critic and columnist Nirav Kumar Varma lauded the efforts of ‘Srijan’ which was giving authors a platform to showcase their compositions and motivating them to write for the last one-and-a-half decade.
Special officer of Sahitya Akademi Devendra Kumar Devesh was the chief guest on the occasion.

In the poetic seminar, the composite life of the jawans deployed on the border of the country and comparing the happy life of the common man in the country was presented in a poignant manner, B S Murthy presented in the poem "Desh Bhakti / Mauj Masti".

In the poem "Uchkan", Seema Verma read with merging and mixing together with anti-separatist sensitivity while Meena Gupta touched many aspects of life in the poems of "Aaj ki desh bhakti” (today's patriotism) and "Grihinee kaa dard (pain of housewife)" and the importance of emotions.

Ashok Gupta underlined the positive aspects of human life in the poem "Eeshwar se mulaaqaat (Meet with God)". Toleti Chandrashekhar presented the poems "Sona and Sona (sleep and gold).T Mahadev Rao highlighted the different colours and situations of poetry in the poem "Kab kaisaa hotaa hoon' (What do I become when)".

Neerav Kumar Verma read 'Main kahaa jaa rahaa hoon (Where am I going) in different facets of contradictory life.On the occasion, the members of Srijan felicitated Devender Kumar Devesh. B Shobhavati, Jaya Prakash Azad, Ch Eshwar Rao and B Ravikumar also present.
